MICHAEL D. BISSONNETTE Mayor City of Chicopee, Massachusetts

Michael D. Bissonnette is the current Mayor of the City of Chicopee, in Western Massachusetts.

He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and of Federal Bar, US Federal Court. His professional affiliations include: American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Hampden County Bar Association, Chicopee Bar Association, Western Mass Pro Bono Panel, First American Title Insurance Company-Real Estate Title Agent. His civic associations include: Chicopee Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus Council 4044, Loyal Order of Moose #1849, Tigers Athletic Association, Chicopee Lodge of Elks, Lodge 1849, President, Friends of Chicopee Public Library and Board of Directors, Chicopee Visiting Nurses Association. Before taking the post as a Mayor, He served as the Legislative Assistant to Senator John Burke (1978-80), Legislative Assistant to Representative Kenneth Lemanski (1975-76), Legislative Intern in the US Congress, and a member of Democratic State Committee.
