MARTHA BOURTSOS ORZECHOWSKI

Martha Bourtsos Orzechowski currently serves as the Development Manager for Women In Government. She has been with the organization since May 2007, and was previously the Graduate Fellow in the Access to Higher Education Policy Research Center.  Martha serves as the primary liaison between the organization  and the sponsors, fostering stewardship and maintaining and growing a diverse donor base.  Martha earned her Bachelors Degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University and her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Administration and Policy Studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.  Her area of focus is succession planning in higher education administration.
 
Martha is tri-lingual, speaking both Spanish and Greek in addition to her native English.  Martha's previous work experience has included graduate assistantships, research assistantships, and teaching assistantships at Catholic University. She also spent a year volunteering as a math tutor in a local D.C. public high school. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania State Alumni Association, Duquesne University Alumni Association, and the American Association of University Women's Arlington Branch. Additionally, she is the Graduate Student Representative in the Graduate Student Association at Catholic University.
