Crystal is a former Vice President at Citi Markets and Banking, formerly known as Citigroup, where she was an Institutional multi-asset class structured bond Saleswoman. She helped build the sales distribution channel for her products by identifying new clients, providing market color and providing timely execution of structured bond and derivatives trades.
Crystal holds a BS in Finance from Hampton University located in Hampton, VA. In 2007, the Princeton Review named Hampton University one of the "Best 357 Colleges" in the nation. In the October 2008 issue of Black Enterprise magazine, Hampton University ranked No. 4 as one of the leading colleges and universities for African-American students. Shortly after matriculation from Hampton University, she was recruited to join Salomon Smith Barney, a division of Citi, as a Registered Client Services Associate.
Within 5 years at Citi, Crystal created and launched an ongoing process that identified $160 Billion under management in 90M accounts, established the Qualified Retirement Plan Brokered Certificates of Deposit (CD) distribution channel, successfully completed the Sales and Trading Management training program, and was promoted to Vice President. Crystal was with the firm for 7 years and has had various roles within the organization.
Crystal is a product of strong Caribbean and southern roots. She was reared to believe that diligence, a quest for knowledge, and a great work ethic are necessary to reach one’s true potential. In addition she believes that a person’s accomplishments are only limited by one’s ability to dream. At the age of 17, both of those mantra’s combined and helped her make the decision to join the United States Navy.
Crystal earned the National Defense Service Medal Ribbon and the Navy Good Conduct Medal Ribbon for serving on active duty during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. On July 22, 2007, she was recognized for her 18 years of sales experience, knowledge of the financial markets and prior military experience. She was proud to be presented with a Congressional Proclamation during a celebration that was co-chaired by Senator Chuck Schumer and Congressman Charlie Rangel. Crystal possesses a positive can-do attitude, infectious optimism, and a truly compassionate moral compass. |
