BASIA GLINSKI
Architect and Urban Planner

Basia Glinski is an architect currently designing residential projects in New York and California.  Previously, she has worked for both corporate interdisciplinary design offices as well as small firms, including Sasaki Associates, Inc. and Burr and McCallum Architects.  While the majority of her professional experience has consisted of residential and mixed-use building construction, her academic design work focused on urban design and the role of infrastructure as a potential generator of public space.  Her professional experience also includes architectural marketing as well as holding various positions in the financial and entertainment industries in San Francisco and New York.

Basia received her B.A. cum laude in international relations from Mount Holyoke College; as an undergraduate, she also studied architecture and architectural history in Florence, Italy with Syracuse University and in Krakow, Poland at Jagiellonian University. She completed post-graduate studies in architectural theory at Cambridge University in England and received her Master of Architecture at the University of California at Berkeley.   She has served as a critic on architectural juries at Berkeley and Williams College and has also been a member of the Planning Committee for ArchVoices, a non-profit organization that promotes the interests of young architects
